Members of Rich Samson's family are actually helpless and sexually hungry. Son Louis quenches the hunger between his charming girlfriend Sylvia and bar hooker Sylvia. When José finds out that Sylvia is pregnant, he hastily slips the soda bottle he found in the trash on Sylvia's finger as an engagement ring. What José feels for Silvia is more like lust than love. But Silvia, whose family is poor and whose only salvation is Jose, does not believe in this sign. José's mother is too proud of her social standing to allow her son to marry the daughter of a prostitute.
