LA Confidential 1997 Film LA Confidential, which was screened in Turkey on December 5, 1997, won 2 Oscars, was directed by Curtis Hanson and adapted from the novel by James Ellroy, as a Drama, Mystery and Detective production. In the story, which takes place in the city of Los Angeles in the 1950s, Mickey Cohen, one of the bosses of the underworld, is imprisoned for his crimes and there is a big void in his absence, and a fight begins among other criminal organizations over who will be the leader. While Cohen is serving his sentence in prison, all his men are suddenly killed one night, and a former cop is among those killed. The Los Angeles department assigns 3 cops to investigate the events, and the styles and characters of these 3 cops are very different from each other...
