Midway
(1976)Midway 1976
The objective of the war was to seize the strategic island of Midway and destroy American aircraft carriers. The Japanese navy gathered for this purpose included 8 aircraft carriers and 11 warships with a 200-man Japanese fleet. On the other hand, the Americans were able to prepare a fleet of 76 pieces around 3 carriers. However, the Japanese dispersed their forces. They sent two carriers to the Aleutian Islands to lure the Americans north, and sent both carriers to a landing squadron far behind the main squadron. After deciphering the Japanese code, the Americans sank four of Japan's most important aircraft carriers, the backbone of the Imperial Japanese Navy, despite numerous failures and this time the sinking of Yorktown. The most important factor in the outcome of this war in favor of the Americans is that the American army deciphered the Japanese encryption system and the Japanese were unaware of it. One factor in the sinking of the Japanese aircraft carriers was that the attack squadron did not return, and at the same time that the American planes attacked the ships, the Japanese admiral's warplanes with loaded guns boarded the hangar to load bomber ammunition. One of the most important factors in the defeat of the Japanese fleet in this war and in the following wars will be the lack of radar on the Japanese ships.
