After being raped, Violet gives birth to twin children. She hides them from everyone for years. Despite being paralyzed on one side of her body due to illness, Violet still protects her children. When one of the twins dies at the age of ten, they hide Nell in the forest. However, Nell is found after Violet's death. Doctors want to institutionalize Nell to help her adjust to the world and request three months. Nell is someone who doesn't know the world and speaks in a unique language that no one understands. Two doctors must successfully acclimate Nell to people within three months, otherwise they will have to abide by the judge's decision.
