A day before a traditional carnival in a town in western Ukraine, where masks and costumes appear everywhere... Pamfir, who has been away from her family for a while, finally returns home. He has such a deep love for his family that even when his son causes a fire in the town's chapel, he does not hesitate to confront the entire public and somehow pay for the boy's misdemeanor. But this decision will bring to the surface painful memories and once-dark deeds. Pamfir, which deals with human relations, the power of forgiveness, choices against fate, and the existence of good versus evil, made its premiere at the Directors' Fortnight Section in Cannes.
