John Wayne and Katharine Hepburn, one of the most important actors in the history of cinema, meet for the first time in the sequel of Grit of Iron. John Wayne reprises the role of justice fighter Sheriff Rooster Cogburn. The city, ruled by Mr. Goodnight and his daughter Yula, has been taken over by bandits. The gang that killed people and turned the city upside down also killed Mr. Goodnight. Yula sets out to search for her father's killers with Rooster Cogburn. In pursuit of the criminals, a warm friendship develops between them.
