A man's failure in both marriage and the ideals he dreams of is reason enough to be unhappy. This role of the victim continues to be played by the main character of the film, Miles Raymond. Being an English teacher and her biggest dream is to be a writer. Meanwhile, his close friend Jack is a television actor that many do not know and is in the process of getting married. Miles invites her on a trip to spend time together before the wedding. This one-week journey will create a completely different meaning in the lives of the two friends. The film was nominated for five Oscars and won a Golden Globe for Best Picture (Musical Comedy).
