Starman 1984

When an alien ship delivering a message of peace to Earth crashes in response to the Voyager 1, its pilot flees like a human, fearing capture. The alien who took the place of Jenny's deceased husband is actually a very nice person and manages to gain the young woman's trust, although it is not easy at first. Together they embark on a grueling journey into the Nevada desert, where alien friends will come and take them away. Meanwhile, the authorities are determined to catch this extraterrestrial being and conduct experiments on it. The big chase begins.
