The planet Krypton is about to disappear. Not having enough means to leave the planet, its inhabitants send a small baby into space in a capsule. The capsule crashes into the world after a long journey, in a small Kansas town. The Kents, an elderly and childless couple, find the capsule and the baby inside. As they grow up, they discover that the boy they call Clark, whom they love like their own, has incredible powers. Growing up and coming to Metropolis, Clark takes a job at a newspaper in order to hide his super identity. He soon finds himself in a struggle with Lex Luthor, who has evil ambitions for the world.
