An unknown poisonous substance mixed with city water has turned the townspeople into murderous psychopaths. Realizing this, the authorities decide to quarantine the city... The American Dream ends when the inhabitants of our town, where everything seems perfect from the outside, lose control and turn into murderers. Chaos erupts between the remaining healthy and the killers when the military blocks the town's entrances and exits while trying to prevent an epidemic. Stranded inside, Sheriff David Dutton and his pregnant wife, Judy, can no longer recognize their once idyllic town, medical center assistant Becca, and the sheriff's deputy, Russell. Unable to trust their neighbors and friends, abandoned by the authorities and trying to protect themselves from the epidemic, the quartet join forces to escape their nightmares...
