Sent to Afghanistan on an undercover mission, CIA agent Benjamin Keyes travels with a group of soldiers and an expert Afghan volunteer guide, Abdul, to a part of Afghanistan that even the Taliban do not dare to enter. The obvious goal is to enlist the support of the community's spiritual leader, Mohammed Abban, to build resistance against the Taliban, but in the mountains of Abban's seclusion, a formidable foe awaits his team, even from the Taliban. .
