The players of the American football team Washington Sentinels decide to strike 4 games before the end of the league. A team must win at least three remaining games to advance to the playoffs. The club president appointed Jimmy McGinty as the team's coach. McGinty assembles a team of backups. Most of the players are inexperienced. However, former football player Shane Falco is called as playmaker to the team, which the coach sees as trump.
