The Return of the Pink Panther
(1975)The Return of the Pink Panther 1975
When the famous Pink Panther Diamond is mysteriously stolen from the Royal Museum of Lugash, Chief Inspector Dreyfus is reluctantly forced to recruit Clouseau. The original culprit of the robbery is, of course, none other than the mysterious Ghost thief, or Sir Charles Lytton, as he was known. Unexpectedly, Lytton has nothing to do with this theft story, but it's clear that Clouseau, who has his own rules, was too narrow-minded to see it. Wanting to avoid being blamed, the charismatic playboy hunts down the real criminal and his beautiful wife, Claudine, is tasked with bringing the clumsy detective under her feet. As usual, Clouseau's methods put the audience in a coma with laughter, and the hapless Chief Inspector Dreyfus is one step closer to insanity each time. Edwards and Sellers have added all the ingredients for success to the soup they made for this movie, which returns to the world of the Pink Panther after a hiatus of more than 10 years. Another timeless classic
