Larry (Billy Crystal) is a successful writer and professor of literature. His ex-wife got rich by writing her name under one of Larry's books and publishing this article. Larry is depressed. Owen (Danny DeVito), one of the students he teaches to write, has his life turned upside down by his mother, who constantly puts pressure and pressure on him. An unstable Owen has a crazy idea. He invites Larry to cross kill. Larry will kill Owen's mother and Owen will kill Larry's ex-wife.
